Glossary of Molecules

Skin Quality

A selection of high-efficacy actives to support cellular energy, renewal, and skin regeneration, for an instant revitalization of the epidermis.

Biosuccinic Acid

Next-generation active ingredient that promotes metabolism and cellular renewal. Performs an antioxidant, protective, and skin-uniforming action, helping to redefine the skin’s natural luminosity.

Pyruvic Acid

A high concentration alpha-keto acid, characterized by keratolytic, exfoliant, and antimicrobial action. Promotes skin renewal and stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, smoothing fine wrinkles and reducing imperfections.

Bioplacenta

Biotechnological complex containing standardized growth factors — including EGF, IGF-1, Acid FGF, Basic FGF, and VEGF — and amino acids. It supports cellular regeneration and tissue repair processes, promoting collagen synthesis and a faster, more effective skin recovery.

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide)

A coenzyme involved in mitochondrial respiration processes, energy production, DNA repair, and cell survival: it acts as an immediate booster by providing a substrate directly available to the electron transport chain in mitochondria and supporting ATP synthesis, the cellular energy.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

A precursor of NAD+, it penetrates the skin barrier to be converted—at the cellular level—into NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide), contributing to endogenous NAD+ production and cellular energy maintenance. At a 5% concentration* it also exerts a depigmenting effect.

Nicoment

Nicoment plays a complementary role in NAD+ production. Once absorbed, it is hydrolyzed by skin esterases, releasing Menthol and Nicotinic Acid (Niacin). The latter enters the cell via a metabolic pathway parallel to that of Niacinamide, helping to maximize NAD+ availability.

Panthenol

Derivative of vitamin B5 present at a high concentration, characterized by soothing and reparative action. Contributes to calming redness and sensations of heat, reducing skin tension, and supporting the restoration of the hydrolipidic barrier after treatment.

Microneedles

Microscopic marine-origin and bioengineered structures which, when applied to the skin, promote the delivery of actives and support their penetration. Their action also contributes to stimulating the natural processes of cellular regeneration, enhancing the synergistic effect of the actives within the protocols and Research MED formulas.
